About business card design

A business card is small, but it’s often the first physical thing someone holds with your name on it — so it has to make a clean, confident impression in seconds. Good business card design is disciplined: the right details, clearly arranged, with type and spacing that feel considered rather than cramped, and a back that earns its place rather than sitting blank or cluttered. We design business cards for companies, sole traders and professionals across the UK — standard or folded, single or double-sided — as original artwork built to your brand. Every card is supplied as print-ready files set up correctly for card printing, so it looks sharp in the hand and you can print it with any printer or card supplier you choose.

More about business card design

Small card, considered design

A business card has very little space and one job: present your details cleanly and make your brand feel established. We design to that discipline — a clear hierarchy (name, role, the ways to reach you), type and spacing that read well at card size, and a back that does something useful, whether that’s the logo, a tagline, a QR code or a second language. It’s original artwork to print specification, set up correctly for card stock and finishing, so what you approve is exactly what prints — not a template with your details dropped in.

Business Card Design FAQs

What kinds of business cards can you design?

Standard and folded business cards for companies, sole traders, freelancers and professionals — single or double-sided, including cards with QR codes, loyalty stamps, appointment details or a short price list on a folded card.

What’s the difference between standard and folded cards?

A standard card is the classic 85 × 55mm. A folded card is the same closed size but opens for extra space — handy for a loyalty stamp, opening hours, a mini price list or appointment details, while staying pocket-sized. We’ll advise which suits what you need on the card.

Will the final artwork be ready for print?

Yes. You receive print-ready CMYK PDFs at 300dpi with proper bleed and safe-area, set up correctly for card printing, ready for any printer or card supplier.

What affects the price of business card design?

Mainly single or double-sided, standard or folded, and the number of versions (for example different team members). Extras like an editable source file are optional in the configurator. The price updates live as you choose options.

Can you design cards for a whole team?

Yes. Add extra versions and send everyone’s details — we’ll design a consistent set so every team member’s card matches, with only the personal details changing.

Can you set the card up for foil, spot UV or rounded corners?

Yes. Tell us the finish you’re planning and we’ll set the artwork up for it — keeping foil or spot-UV elements ready on their own layer and allowing for rounded corners in the safe-area, so your printer can apply the finish cleanly.

Can you match my card to my other materials?

Yes. Order it alongside or after your other pieces — letterhead, flyers, signage — and we’ll match the look so your brand is consistent across everything you hand out.

What file types do I receive?

A print-ready CMYK PDF at 300dpi set up for card printing, as standard. Add the editable/source file option in the configurator if you’d like the working file too.

Do you print the business cards?

No — we design the artwork and supply print-ready files. You’re free to use any printer or card supplier you like, which keeps you in control of stock, finish and cost. Your files stay in your portal for reprints.
